Tongkat Ali - Pasak Bumi

Tongkat Ali is a shrub like tree indigenous to Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia etc.). The tree grows to a height of approximately 10 meters. The root of the tree contains the highest amount of active ingredients. In Indonesia Tongkat Ali is called Pasak Bumi, the scientific name is Eurycoma Longifolia. In Southeast Asia the powdered root is used to make a very bitter tasting tea. I recommend taking Tongkat Ali extract in capsule form due to the bitter taste of the powdered extract. It takes 50 grams of powdered root to make 1 gram of 1:50 extract. When buying Tongkat Ali make sure you are buying at least 1:50 extract and not just extract or just powdered root. If the label just says Tongkat Ali it is probably powdered root. It would take approximately (200) 100 mg capsules of powdered root to equal the potency of (one) 400 mg capsule of 1:50 extract. If the label just says Tongkat Ali extract, it is probably a much lower concentration then 1:50 extract. Send me an email if you would like to view a copy of my bottle label.

CYCLE USAGE:
Start by taking Tongkat Ali extract twice as long as you are off of it. Example: Take Tongkat Ali for 1 week go off it for 4 days or take it for 2 weeks go off of it for 1 week etc. You need to cycle Tongkat Ali for the following reasons: Tongkat Ali's effects can build up in the system, your body may develop a natural tolerance to the dosage and it is good to allow your body to normalize. When you first start taking TA a reasonable cycle may be 14 days ON 7 days OFF. The right cycle and dosage is the key to having success with Tongkat Ali. After taking TA for some time the normal OFF cycle may not be enough time to clear the system of TA's influence. In my opinion, after taking TA for approx. 2-3 months it may be beneficial to go OFF of TA for approx. 1 month to give your body a break from use. In time increasing the length of your OFF cycle may be beneficial. Keep your dosage as low as possible without compromising satisfaction. These steps may benefit tolerance issues while allowing the body a chance to properly normalize.

I receive my Tongkat Ali extracts directly from Sumatra Pasak Bumi. The Tongkat Ali extract is shipped to me from Indonesia already packed in sealed bottles. I do not open the bottles or handle the capsules in any way. I place my label on each bottle and ship to you. The expiration date is premarked at approx. 2 years from when I received that shipment. Sumatra Pasak Bumi has advised me that the extracts are prepared within 2 weeks of when the Tongkat Ali extract is shipped to me. The label on your bottle will say Pasak Bumi (eurycoma longifolia) which is the Indonesian name for Tongkat Ali.
DIRECTIONS: The precise daily dosage amount of Tongkat Ali extract has not been established. In my opinion the recommended daily dosage on the Sumatra Pasak Bumi label is too high for most users. I do not think it is necessary to take such a high dosage to receive satisfying results. Directions for using Tongkat Ali (TA) 1:50 extract : TA 1:50 extract comes in 400 mg capsules. For males, the approximate daily dosage of Tongkat Ali 1:50 extract is from 800 mgs to 1600 mgs a day. Females should take approx. 400 mgs to 800 mgs daily. Gradually introduce TA to your system. Start out by taking 400 mgs the first day and gradually increase your dosage. Keep in mind 400 mgs of the 1:50 extract may be an effective daily dosage for you, so do not be in a hurry to increase your dosage to quick. Directions for using Tongkat Ali 1:200 extract: For a person taking TA for the first time, 300 mgs of 1:200 extract may be a high dosage. For males, the approximate daily dosage of TA 1:200 extract is from 300 mgs to 600 mgs. Start out by taking 300 mgs the first day. I recommend that you stay with 300 mgs of 1:200 until you know for sure it is time to raise the dosage, don't raise the dosage too quick. Keep in mind 300 mgs may be a high enough dosage for you. In my opinion 300 mgs of the 1:200 extract seems to be equivalent to 800 mgs to 1200 mgs of the 1:50 extract. Females should take approximately 300 mgs daily. Sumatra Pasak Bumi recommends that weightlifters and bodybuilders take twice the average daily dosage of TA, taken at different intervals throughout the day. I am not a proponent of such high dosages. I recommend taking the lowest possible dosage that brings about satisfying results. Your daily dosage may need to be adjusted according to your weight and personal preference. In time you will need to figure out what works best for you. Please read the section on CYCLE USAGE. TA may need to build up in the system before effects can be realized. Within a week of taking TA you should start feeling the effects. Taking TA extract with a meal may aid assimilation.
